Job Description
- Oversee the production process and draw up production schedules;
- Ensure that production is cost-effective, timely, and of good quality.
- Respond to production planning and keep up to date with production methods and technology.
- Manage adherence to prescribed procedures and ensure first-pass quality meets or exceeds planned goals;
- Draft a timescale for the job, estimate costs, and set quality standards.
- Co-operate with Planning, CSD, purchasing, and maintenance to meet target of factory plan
- Follow up with warehouse and purchasing to make sure all resources (material, tools, and machines) adapt to production requirement
- Work with the maintenance team to maintain all machines and tools in good condition
- Co-operate with planning, CSD, and loading teams to deliver finished goods on time
- Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and development to achieve objectives;
- Ensure implementation and evolution of safety procedures;
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
- Monitor product standards and implement quality-control programs;
- Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through the implementation of change management processes and best practices;
- Manage production reports, solve problems if any, and report to the General Manager of Plants for production situation
- Work with General Manager -Plants and the heads of other department managers to implement the company’s policies and goals;
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
- Coordinate, set up, and implement standard operating procedures for all production operations;
- Supervise and motivate a team of workers;
- Do training and coaching Foreman/Team leader in managing and leading the team
Requirements
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years experience as the Production Manager in a mechanical and steel structure fabrication factory, candidates with experience in pre-engineered buildings (PEB) are much preferable
- Strong leadership skills
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Good delegation skills and strong characteristics
- Have knowledge about costing and budgeting
- Accounting and stock management skills
- Strong command of English
- Good communication with team members
